Abstract: The article examines the sacred roots, semantic motives, vectors of reconstruction of cultural images and audiovisual symbols and signs of the sounding song of smallpox treatment and conspiracy against the disease in the Adyghe magical healing rite of chapsh. Various codes have been identified at the level of songs about the treatment and conspiracy of smallpox. They are verbal (language units), real (obiective world of symbols), musical (structure, rhythm, intonation, etc.) and actional plan (magical and ritual action). The purpose of the study is to consider the descriptive structures (constructions) of the musical and poetic texts of the songs of smallpox treatment as special analytical forms of transmission of the semiotics of smallpox which convey the intensity of the image of the Lord of smallpox and have acquired a special cultural status in myth a – making and are represented by the audiovisual code of the myth and the marked lexemes of the Adyghe magical healing act of chapsh. It is concluded that the musical and poetic lyrics of the songs smallpox treatment songs recreate the ethnomental and virtual, rather than the real-conceptual picture of the Circassians (Adyghe) world, which is consistently revealed through several traditional motifs: the motif of the “birth” of smallpox, the motif of the coming of smallpox in to the human world, the motif of a persons acceptance of smallpox as a “happy guest”, the motif of the happy “maturation” of smallpox, the motif of a symbolic prediction of a happy cure for an illness, the motif of a symbolic prediction of a happy outcome of chapsh.
