The article is dedicated to the labor feats of the employees of the territorial institutions of the USSR State Bank’s Krasnodar regional branch during the Great Patriotic War, including information about the evacuation of valuables, deceased workers, and the working conditions of those, who remained to work in the surrounded areas. The time-frame is determined by the period of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), which radically changed the tasks of activity and the conditions under which employees performed their duties. Very few works on the exploits of employees of the territorial institutions of the Krasnodar Regional office and other regional institutions of the USSR State Bank have been published due to the closeness (which lasted for a long time) of this institution to researchers and the press. Among such works, within the framework of the region under consideration, we note the book “The Bank of Russia in the history of Kuban”; the authors are Alekseev N.A., Kolesov V.I., Turyalai S.V. (Krasnodar, 2015. 376 p.), published 10 years ago and containing a chapter on the period under review. Since then, I have received new data and clarifications on the work of local employees during this tragic period for our country and the whole world.
